PCI SERVICES

Water Resources

PCI has improved sustainable water resources management for over 30 years

EXPERTISE

Water Resources

We have successfully applied our services to urban projects for large and expanding cities as well as rural projects that required appropriate low cost solutions in the following areas:

  • Integrated River Basin Management
  • Water/sediment related Disaster Prevention as well as Flood and Debris Control
  • River Water Pollution Management
  • Navigation Canal Improvement
  • Urban Drainage and River Training
  • Water Resources Revelopment
  • Groundwater Management and Development

PCI is also experienced in the use of sophisticated mathematical and hydraulic laboratory modeling techniques over the whole course of project cycle. In fact, PCI operates its own water resources, flood control, and hydraulic model testing and research center in Tsukuba City, Japan. With its 46,000 square meter outdoor and 1,700 square meter outdoor and 1,700 square meter indoor facilities, it is the largest privately owned and operated hydraulic laboratory in Japan. The laboratory computers and software are designed for numerical analysis and simulation. The research center has proven to be very effective for coordination and technology transfer on projects.

In total, PCI's multi-sector action programs provide cost effective, economically viable, and environmentally &socially acceptable solutions. We encourage community involvement that is indispensable for integrated watershed management.
