EXPERTISE

PCI provides overall planning of major port expansions and new port development for every conceivable type and purpose from general cargo ports to container ports, fishing ports, dry and liquid bulk cargo terminals, and Roll On-Roll Off (RORO) ferry ports. PCI also provides planning for inland transport systems for ports of a multi-modal network, and services such as regional development and coastal disaster protection.

PCI also offers software services for terminal management and operations. These include the development of Terminal Operation Services (TOS) for vessel and yard planning, Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and Interchange Receipts (IR) Systems to customize and simplify documentations relative to terminal management and operations, development of Management Information systems (MIS), organize management staff for efficient and profitable operations, transfer of know-how, among others.

PCI operates its own hydraulic model test and research center in Tsukuba City, one of the largest privately owned and operated hydraulic laboratories in Japan. It is equipped with state of the art facilities and equipment for physical modeling and testing as well as the latest generation of computers and software for mathematical model simulations, traffic forecasting, and ship movement simulations
