EXPERTISE

Although every country must promote economic development that is balanced and sustainable, many countries face constraints such as lack of experienced human resources for policy planning and implementing laws and regulations, and also lack of financing. PCI offers consulting services to bridge such gaps.

Because of its expertise and record of successes in this field, PCI has been selected to plan projects for industrial development and export promotion zones by JICA, the technical cooperation agency of the Japanese Government. Hence, PCI surveyed the industries in Shanghai City and prepared the important development plan for the Export Processing Zone in Pu Dong.

PCI's service also covers management development such as organizational and legal reform, fiscal and financial reform, improving management, privatization, and planning for technical training. Examples of PCI's policy-oriented technical cooperation projects include economic development study in Vietnam and planning for technical education in Ghana.
