EXPERTISE

PCI continues to improve bridge technology and seismic modeling in a drive toward safer and more economical structures. Moreover, we consider environmental and aesthetic factors as fundamental parameters in bridge design. Internationally, examples of our recent achievements include the Suez Canal Bridge (which has a total length of 3,900 m including a 404 m cable-stayed center span) and the Rehabilitation of Bridges for Java North Line Project (which conducted rehabilitation of 194 railway bridges located in Java, Indonesia).

PCI has also been deeply involved in the development of bridge design and construction technology in Japan. We have participated in a number of state-of-the-art bridge projects such as the Honshu-Shikoku Bridge and the Tokyo Bay Rainbow Bridge. These projects have provided PCI's engineers with a sound basis for further development of our expertise in the design and construction management of large bridges.

PCI's range of activities cover: master planning, feasibility studies, geotechnical and hydraulic investigations, detailed design, supervision and issuance of inspection and maintenance manuals of new bridges. Additionally, PCI undertakes the inspection, maintenance, repair, strengthening, rehabilitation, and replacement of existing bridges.
